Mr Katuzi has Worked on wheat/barley and triticale breeding at then Uyole Agriculture Centre in Mbeya. his role was to Emphasis which was directed at farmer adoption and practice of recommended technologies and research packages via a strong research – extension linkage involving direct farmers participation.His Experience was also acquired in preparing and presenting research reports and papers at both local and international research meetings.
He has a Training experience on capacity building of rural communities using participatory action-learning approaches. Implied in the approach is the emphasis on farmer empowerment, which is a new form of training from the traditional transfer of technology (with research work) to accompanying communities in the change process.
After promotion from a Trainer to a Manager.He Gained management and administration experience of private institutions/organisations, mainly through on-job practice and self-training - given a ‘action-oriented’ culture that characterises NGO’s work.
Project role/responsibility:To facilitate farmers’ engagement in a learning process to address climate change/ variability in the immediate, short and long term, stakeholder analysis and strategic engagement, detailed knowledge of the Central Zone of Tanzania, coordinate project’s activities in Central Zone.
