Mr Cosmo Socrates Ngongondo is a Lecturer in Earth Sciences at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. He is a Water Resources Engineering and Management specialist and is the former Head of the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences at Chancellor College, University of Malawi.

His research interest is in the area of Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources and Groundwater Assessments. He is presently involved in the teaching of Land and Water Resources Management, Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing at postgraduate level and Hydrology, Meteorology and Climatology and Soil Sciences at undergraduate level among others.  He has done extensive studies in Malawi on rainfall variability, land use cover changes and how these impact water resources.

Project role/responsibility:To managet and facilitation of all project activities in Malawi, development of appropriate research methodologies, CC&V adaptation research, stakeholders identification and engagement, policy formulation.
